This column is featuring some of my favorite classic covers/artists from days past.
Today's pick is from one of my all-time (and current) favorite artists, John Byrne.

This is towards the tail end of the Dark Phoenix Saga story-arc. His art is rough, not overly detailed, but has naturalistic curves. This issue was co-written by Chris Claremont, one of my favorite writers, and often worked with John Byrne.

Fun Fact: John Byrne is color blind.
