if you don't know, now you know- Batman: The Widening Gyre

Thanks to Silent Bob for helping us enjoy nostalgic adventures of Bruce Wayne, during his ahem- sabbatical. The stark, grimy mood set within The Widening Gyre also has it's share of light and fun moments, as only Mr. Smith can pull off.

Loved the call out of Goatman (Baphomet) being a STONER. Fucking hilarious.

Half way through this series I can agree with others that Flanagan has improved in his artistry from Cacophony, but I would take it in a different direction and give more cred to Art Thibert- who is well known for his clean line work as a finisher.

If you need a break from all the Batman Reborn arcs and want to kick it old school pick this book up.

I can't remember a scene like this where of all the macho superheroes to pick from- Aquaman is the pitchman for such sexual innuendo.
