Blair's Weekly Fresh Ink- 1.01
12:57 PM
Blair opens up twenty 10 with her standouts of ongoing books which we spot on agree on for these:
Detective Comics- Rucka & JHW3 elevate the game and make Kate Kane the new Bruce Wayne of the bat-family.
Invincible Ironman- The hands down big ticket franchise of Marvel on the shelves and in the theatres.
Secret Six- The magic that Simone and Scott are making with this book resonates that same Whedon/Cassaday feel that got me back into reading 6 years ago.

Here you have Blair's picks of the year baby! She obviously has more of an indie taste than our mainstream arses but here are some of the books that we also read:
Astonishing X-Men: Ghost Boxes #2- Was surprised by this one, but Blair does jock Warren Ellis like no other.
Green Lantern #43- Gotta agree with this choice read. Not only is this the one book I feel is the ultimate jumping on point for Blackest Night cause of

the Black Hand origin, but I also had Geoff Johns sign this one and he wrote--by my Black Hand!! Oh joy!
Dark Reign: Punisher- Daken vs. Frank Castle as only John Romita Jr. and Rick Remender can do.This post was written by:

Green Lantern Corps #43- Yeah, kinda disappointed with someone's return but damn Guy is awesome as a Red Lantern!!
Captain America Reborn#5- Love the Cassaday covers and can't go wrong with Brubaker.

Blair weaves through a load of our faves like:
Booster Gold- The Blue, ahem..gray and gold have a dude-vorce and just so you know- you are fucking awesome Mr. Jurgens!!!
Secret Six- My oh my this cover is tasty and how nice to have Gail back to take her character Black Alice though the gauntlet of the six.
Invincible Ironman- Chessie is always trying to get me to jump on this book, but I am holding off on Marvel's tinman tho the covers are bananas.

Blair plays catch up with some books as we are all still getting over gobble-gobble leftovers & food coma:
Green Lantern Corps#42- Blair complains of the meaning of death at DC, while I am personally satisfied with Kyle's character being put to rest.
The Beats- A cool graphic representation of Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs and other Beat generation poets brought to you by Harvey Pekar and Paul Buhle.
Ex-Machina: Deluxe Edition- Tim-chi has been evangelizing to me on jumping on this Brian K. Vaughn classic since it started...looks like a good time to start politicking on this mug.
